Why buy your dog expensive synthetic chewing toys when nature can offer you a better and healthier alternative? That’s right, calf hooves for the win! friGERA calf hooves are an excellent treat for young dogs with a strong urge to chew since they support dental care and help puppies in the change of teeth. Additionally, the hooves are high in keratin (a type of protein) but extremely low in fat, which contributes to healthy muscles and coat without excessive calories from fat. Finally, they’re easy to digest and low in odour, making them ideal to feed indoors or in urban environments! Pro tip: you can stuff the hooves yourself with anything your dog likes: tasty dog paste, meat filling, wet dog food, etc. The possibilities are endless! This can be a great and affordable tool to teach your dog good chewing behaviour. Instead of being left with an empty synthetic toy without any nutritional values after the reward inside is gone, the remaining empty hooves can serve as an extra reward after learning and playing! Did you run out of inspiration regarding the filling? Just snoop around on the internet, there’s a large community ready to help! In case you don’t want to fill the hooves yourself, just have a look at our filled hooves!
